Super Nintendo Controller Port Replacement

Super Nintendo Controller Port Replacement Tools: Gamebit 4.5mm

Step 1: Take out the screws (there should be six) on the bottom of the console using the screwdriver

Step 2: On the front (not the top) of the console you will be able to see a dividing line between the top and bottom portions. Detach the top from the bottom along this line

Step 3: You should see a prominent, gray, T-shaped structure. This is the eject lever. Lift up on the top right portion of it to free the protruding metal bar from its housing

Step 4: Pull out the metal bar completely – when you do this you need to keep your eye on the spring on the opposite end of the lever. It may get dislodged so be sure not to lose it

Step 5: Gently take out the controller ports

Step 6: Gently take the ribbon cable (pictured) out of its port

REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO PUT THE CONSOLE BACK TOGETHER
