Getting Around in Style - Bite the Bullet Teleporters
Teleporters have been a part of sci-fi stories for as long as most of us can remember, and with good reason. Who doesn’t love the idea of being able to instantly warp to your destination? It would sure as heck make life a lot easier - and faster. But besides just being an awesome concept, Bite The Bullet utilizes teleporters in a multitude of ways to help both the player and the developers.
Bite The Bullet starts by having the player enter into the Teleportation Room, where they’re whisked away to a short tutorial on how to play the game. They will return to this area each time they complete a level. This improves the player quality of life by making navigation between worlds straightforward and simple.
Teleporters are also used in the game’s level designs to increase their replayability. Every stage has several types of teleporters. Some will take the player to another section of the stage, while others will transport them to special bonus areas.
These bonus areas come in a variety of forms - challenge areas, “treasure” rooms full of guns and food, special encounters, and more. Each time you enter a level, the game randomizes the locations attached to each teleporter. It’s a fresh bite, each time you play!
