Chiptune Mixtape with Alex Sy

Chiptune Mixtape with Alex Sy

Let’s talk about Chiptunes, synthesized electronic 8-bit music that reminds us of simple times. There’s just so much emotion to unpack with each track. You can go from funky, to whimsical, to downright terrifying. If you’re having trouble choosing, well, we’ve got options.

AdhesiveWombat hasn’t been releasing as many tracks as before, but whenever he makes a comeback, he delivers. Fancy Feast is a mid tempo groovy 4-minute bop guarantee to get you off your seat and onto the floor, the dance floor that is.

If you thought the Hellfire Saga Hack for Sonic wasn’t unnerving enough, FoxConEd added some progressive rock with Through Hell and Fire to downright scare you. It’s a nice twist to an already vast change in the original Sonic soundtrack, there’s just way more fire this time. Synthwave disappeared sometime in the 90’s, cameback recently, and will likely stay for the next millennium. PWRNEON by Techno Mage helps backup the statement. Make no mistake though, this track is a mixed bag of guitar solos, heavy beats and lots of fun.

We’re dialing it down a bit with R3TRONs I Live By The Egg, yes that’s the actual name. If you are not into anything that makes your heart race, this is just for you. It’s a laid back track made to help you relax and take it easy. Sweet and simple, just the way you like it.

We mentioned whimsical, so we’ll give you whimsical. “Rhimsil by Rimcraft'' is upbeat, bubbly and straight out of the intro of a Megaman game. If you’re in a good mood and feel like jogging or saving the world, you’ve found your theme song.

There you have it, five artists, five chiptune tracks for any situation, you’re welcome.
