Kickstarter Pixel Art Round Up with Alex Sy - March 2021

It's that time again where we dropped by Kickstarter to see what games are popping. This month, we're checking out an old-school vibe top-down action RPG, and yet another promising roguelite.

The Arkanya Game Studio is collaborating with Top Hat Studios to bring us The Girl from Arkanya, a top-down treasure hunting RPG with a classic 2D Zelda to feel. With a set of diverse characters, including Marissa and Cappy the Capybara, a colorful world and smooth, intuitive gameplay, you'd really want to take a look once it comes out in May 2021.

Now we go back to roguelite territory with Necromancer's Gift, a monster taming roguelite. We know that sounds strange, but here is out. Imagine Pokemon, which you get to pick the rates, the creatures appear across different runs and in time you can get the ability to guarantee a certain creature in any particular form. Also, the Pokemon are creepy and demonic. Where was this when I was growing up? No news in when Necromancer's Gift is coming out, but we'll definitely keep you posted.
