The Mega Cat-alogue: 5 New Steam Games to Play (October Week 2)

Nothing weird is happening here… swear! We’re not trying to make you paranoid. We’re just saying that maybe you should look over your shoulder once in a while. You never know what might be keeping an eye on you.

This week, we’re diving into five new Steam releases where someone, something, or possibly an entire racing syndicate is watching what you’re doing. Dangerous roads, mysterious towns, burning cities, and the far reaches of the galaxy all have one thing in common: something is waiting for you to make your next move.

So keep your eyes open. Watch the shadows. And maybe don’t wander into that forest. You know how this goes.

STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™

Release Date: October 6, 2026 | Racing, Simulation • Fuse Games, Secret Mode

The Empire is gone, the galaxy is rebuilding, and everyone decided this was the perfect time to start an illegal racing league. Pick your ride, hit the Outer Rim, and try to make a name for yourself without getting wrecked by the competition.

What Caught Our Eye

An underground racing league backed by gambling syndicates is already a pretty wild setup, but the real fun is how much is riding on every race. Your rivals aren't just trying to beat you. They're watching what you do, and every win helps build your reputation in the Galactic League. A casual race has a lot more riding on it now. No pressure.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

There are several types of repulsorcraft to try, each with its own physics and playstyle, so finding the ride that works for you should be part of the fun. You can customize your craft, take on a story campaign with shifting alliances, or jump into PvP grudge matches when you feel like making things personal. Then, as you climb the ranks, your choices can affect your standing in the League and the rewards you earn.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival

Release Date: October 9, 2026 | Action, Gore, Horror • Saber Interactive

Pinhead is back, and this time you’ve got a very bad deal to survive. Take on the role of Aidan, wield the Genesis Configuration, and fight your way through a hellscape where the line between pain and pleasure gets very blurry.

What Caught Our Eye

We’re going to go ahead and say that making a bargain with Pinhead is probably not the safest decision. Aidan has to use the Genesis Configuration to help Sunny escape the Labyrinth, but the box comes with powers of its own that can change how you deal with what’s hunting you. And considering the Cenobites are involved, we’re guessing nobody is getting out of this with a relaxing spa day.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

The Genesis Configuration isn't just sitting in your inventory looking ominous. Its abilities can be combined with your weapons as you take on cultists, creatures, and other horrors lurking in the Labyrinth. The story also gives you a new chapter in the Hellraiser universe, with more unsettling encounters waiting along the way. Basically, if you've ever thought, “I wonder what happens if I actually use this cursed puzzle box,” this is probably your warning.

Silver Pines

Release Date: October 9, 2026 | Horror, Metroidvania • Wych Elm, Team 17

Private investigator Red Walker arrives in a half-forgotten town looking for a missing musician. It doesn’t take long for the case to get stranger, the roads to get darker, and Silver Pines to reveal that it has a lot more going on than it first lets on.

What Caught Our Eye

A missing-person case is already enough to make you question why anyone came here in the first place. Red’s search for Eddie Velvet takes him deeper into the town's history, where locked doors and hidden paths lead to things that absolutely should not be there. And with every new clue, Silver Pines seems to have another reason to keep an eye on you.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

Silver Pines leans into the classic survival horror formula, which means resources aren't exactly overflowing. Inventory space is limited, every bullet matters, and you'll need to decide what is worth carrying as you search for solutions. Better tools and weapons also open up more of the town, giving you new places to investigate while the monsters make sure you never get too comfortable.

Truckful

Release Date: October 10, 2026 | Adventure, Mystery • Mythic Owl, Pocketpair Publishing

It’s a peaceful countryside, a trusty pickup, and a simple job: deliver things to the locals. Easy, right? Well, the old forest is watching, so maybe don’t get too comfortable.

What Caught Our Eye

Truckful starts with the kind of job that sounds almost suspiciously relaxing. Drive around, deliver fish, transport fragile grandma vases, help the locals, and upgrade your truck. Then you start hearing about the forest, the legends surrounding it, and the things hiding beyond the normal roads. We have a feeling those deliveries are going to get a little more complicated.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

Your truck is more than a way to get from one delivery to the next. You can improve its weight and load capacity, customize it, and figure out how to handle all the weird cargo you're asked to haul around. Meanwhile, the countryside has hidden paths, wetlands, marshes, and landmarks to investigate. So yes, there are errands to run. There’s also an ancient forest that seems to have opinions about your presence.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Release Date: October 15, 2026 | Action-Adventure, Metroidvania • KONAMI, Evil Empire

Paris is burning, monsters are crawling out of the shadows, and Rose Belmont has inherited a very familiar family problem. Grab the Vampire Killer and get ready to whip your way through a whole new Castlevania adventure.

What Caught Our Eye

The Belmont family has never been particularly good at having quiet evenings, and Rose is no exception. As the city falls into chaos, she gets pulled into a conspiracy hiding beneath the destruction. The best part? She gets to swing the Vampire Killer around like a grappling hook, which feels like a pretty fun way to make an entrance.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

The whip isn't just for smacking monsters. Rose can use it to move through the environment, swing around stages, and close the distance on enemies. Defeated bosses also become Arcana sealed inside tarot cards, giving you new abilities and special actions to play with. With seven weapon categories and a collection of Relics to work with, you can build a setup that fits how you like to fight.

Check it out on Steam.

And just like that, we made it through five Steam games without getting caught… probably. If you hear something behind you, though, that’s between you and whatever’s back there. See you in the next Mega Cat-alogue! 🐾
