Weekly Dose of Gaming News - A Pixel Art Seinfeld Game!?
Have you ever wanted to play a game about nothing? How about a game about nothing where you get to play as Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine, and George?
Jacob Janerka and Ivan Dixon want to work on a beautiful pixel art point-and-click adventure game that is according to the “set in the Seinfeld-Verse”.
Upon checking out the game's website we have to say, we’re all in and if you’re a Seinfeld fan chances are you will be too. This game hasn’t been completely made yet and is not licensed...which is where the internet comes in.
According to the duo “We want to do this the official way. However, we believe that pitching to the internet will show the demand for such a game, which will provide a better chance of this becoming a thing than us just sending a cold email. We want our email to be warm if that makes any sense.”
Yep, that makes sense to us, and if you’re wondering if these guys are qualified to make a game about such an iconic and still socially relevant show, they are. Jacob Janerka created and developed the popular point and click game Paradigm and Ivan Dixon has worked on pixelated animations for shows like The Simpsons, Adventure Time, and Rick & Morty. Oh also, they're both huge Seinfeld fans, in fact, it’s how their friendship started.
Together we’d say they’ve got this covered.
