Weekly Dose of Gaming News - Catching Cheaters
Well, Muhammad Al-sharifi is that someone, and since 2018 he's estimated that he's exposed between 50,000 and 70,000 cheaters in overwatch and valorant.
Muhammad goes by the name GamerDoc and his motivation for the amount of work he puts into this endeavor is simple, he hates cheaters. In a phone interview
with vice he says quote "I just hate cheaters in general. I think it's selfish to have all the fun for yourself. People have a job they come home to enjoy a nice day of gaming, and for that to be ruined because of some kid who used his mom's credit card to buy cheats just sucks.", "Not only that, there are people who even try to compete at a pro level with cheats ruining the competitive integrity for many who practice countless hours to be the best." end quote.
The cool thing about GamerDoc is that he actually reports the cheaters directly to Riot Games and Blizzard helping them advance their own anti-cheating techniques.
Oh, what people will do to be "The Best".
