Quality chiptunes aren't as common as of late, but we got a few gems today. Five Tracks by Three Different Artists, absolute bangers. It's time to drop those sick 8-bit beats.

Professor Shy Guy is no stranger to producing music and streaming. If you log onto Twitch right now, you'll probably catch a few of his VODs. While he may not be cranking out new tracks everyday, he does have a few classics. A man of quality the professor is. Keywords and dubstep and the RPG song are exactly what their names imply. The tracks were laid out plain and simple, the electronic beats are hard, and lyrics are as geeky as they come. We love it! He even featured voice actor Kyle Hebert in The RPG Song to do epic narrations in between verses. If you're looking for a good electric 8-bit song that tells a story, look no further than Professor Shy Guy.

Next up, we have Meganeko who deals with a wide range of chiptune variations. Now how do we explain this? They're all chiptune, but you get a different feeling every time. So we'll show you what we mean. Two tracks, The Cyber Grind from Ultrakill Soundtrack and Discovery have Meganeko style written all over them, but they couldn't be more different. The Cyber Grind gives you that exact feeling. It's you, running through an endless mob of faceless killer robots while having the time of your life. There's heavy metal, there's electro, and there’s synth - the best kind of triple threat. Discovery tones things down a bit, but doesn't slow down. It's more pop and definitely more whimsical, but the energy never drops, not once. Two tracks best played one after the other.

I think it's only fair that we spare the last slot for a Bossfight. We don't know if this is intentional or purely coincidence, but his tracks do sound like the perfect background music for any boss fight, clever. One of his newest tracks, Mercy, goes straight to the dark and heavy. Industrial sounds, classical instruments and lots of synth. It's like breaking into Dracula's castle, fighting your way through all the ghouls and creatures of the night. Only to find out that Dracula's a cyberpunk Android. It won't be surprising if you find yourself playing this track on loop, especially if you're in a horror thriller game binge, but we think it'll work out with Stardew Valley 2.
