Now we tend to be a bit on the fence when it comes to early access games, but every now and then a game studio like Bounding Box Software comes along and just surprises everyone.

Now if you’re a fan of old school, level to level campaign, sci-fi shooters like Doom and Quake, then you’ll love its ridiculously fun and gory love child, Prodeus.

You take on the role of a nameless corrupted agent out for revenge as you battle multiple stages and mow down swarms of enemies with anything from your bare hands to a plasma rifle. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

While there’s no exact date for a full release, the community is alive, kicking and making good use of the gamings level editor where you can remake just about any map from fan-favorite throwback shooters like Duke Nukem and Metroid Prime.

There’s so many ways to liquefy alien demons spawn. You’re only limited by your own imagination. Prodeus is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
