Weekly Dose of Gaming News - We've All Been Playing A LOT of Video Games
We don't know about you guys, but we've been playing a lot more video games since COVID-19 hit. It makes sense, since a lot of us have been stuck at home much more than usual, but we didn't know just how many people have been playing games. Well, it turns out a lot.
In an article by the World Economic Forum, we found out that there has been a 23% increase in game sales from the same period last year, that's 29.4 billion dollars! Now, that's just games. The article also mentions that hardware sales which is consoles and accessories saying they "-have also seen double-digit increases since the pandemic began. Consumers are buying more consoles, and those who already have consoles are buying more games to play on them."
